Ongoing Projects in Cameroon

Hybrid Cocoa Project

Impact Circle Germany e.V through her development partner in Cameroon, Impact Circle Cameroon has successfully planted on a 2 hectare demonstration plot, 2000 hybrid cocoa seedlings. The goal of this intiative is to increase access of smallholder farmers to hybrid cocoa seedlings as well as use the farm as a farmer field school where innovative and sustainable cocoa practices will be exchanged between Impact Circle Cameroon and smallholder farmers in Babubock village of Nguti subdivision.

Cassava Processing Plant

The organisation is currently purchasing equipment, materials and machinery for a cassava processing plant to be constructed in Cameroon. The goal of the project is to reduce postharvest loss of the crop, increase food security as well as the livelihood of cassava growers by increasing their access to a sustainable market for the crop.

Promoting occupational health and safety and safe work practice in cocoa production

Cocoa farming in Babubock village, Cameroon, is essential for the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, but it comes with significant occupational health and safety risks. Many farmers are unaware of safe work practices, lack proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and face constant hazards from sharp tools, agrochemicals, and improper lifting techniques. This has led to frequent injuries, accidents, and health issues, including exposure to harmful chemicals.

Our Goal: Impact Circle Germany e.V., in partnership with its local development partners in Cameroon, aims to raise funds to reduce injuries, accidents, and illnesses related to cocoa farming. The funds will help purchase essential PPE and provide training on safe work practices to smallholder farmers in Babubock.
