AI for Empowerment

Impact Circle Germany e.V. is proud to announce the launch of AI for Empowerment, an innovative educational initiative designed to introduce children and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Berlin to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital literacy, and responsible technology use.

The project will engage 35 children and young people aged 10 to 16 in an interactive learning journey that combines technology, creativity, critical thinking, and children’s participation. Through six hands-on workshops, participants will explore how Artificial Intelligence works, experiment with age-appropriate AI tools, discuss the opportunities and ethical challenges of AI, and develop practical digital skills that are increasingly important in today’s world.

More than simply learning about technology, participants will be encouraged to become active contributors to the learning process. They will work together to generate ideas, participate in discussions about fairness, privacy, and responsible AI, collaborate on creative projects, and showcase their achievements during a final public presentation.

As Artificial Intelligence continues to transform education, communication, and everyday life, AI for Empowerment aims to ensure that children and young people—particularly those from migrant and refugee communities—have equal opportunities to understand and confidently navigate these emerging technologies. By fostering digital inclusion and encouraging responsible innovation, the project seeks to empower participants to become informed, creative, and engaged digital citizens.
