Digital Inclusion Programme

Empowering Communities Through Technology

Digital technologies have become essential for education, employment, entrepreneurship, communication, and access to public services. Yet millions of people, particularly in underserved communities, continue to face significant barriers to accessing computers, digital skills, and the internet.

Impact Circle Germany e.V.’s Digital Inclusion Programme works to bridge this gap by expanding access to technology, strengthening digital skills, and supporting innovation that creates lasting social impact. We believe that digital inclusion is not only about providing equipment—it is about enabling people to learn, connect, create opportunities, and participate fully in an increasingly digital world.

Working with local partners, educational institutions, businesses, and community organisations, we develop practical initiatives that equip young people, schools, and community groups with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in the digital age.

Our Objectives

The Digital Inclusion Programme seeks to:

  • Improve access to digital technologies for underserved communities.

  • Promote digital literacy and lifelong learning.

  • Support schools, youth organisations, and community centres with appropriate ICT equipment.

  • Encourage responsible reuse of technology through corporate and community IT donations.

  • Prepare young people for future education, employment, and entrepreneurship in the digital economy.

  • Build partnerships between Germany and Cameroon that advance digital development and social innovation.

Our Approach

Our work combines access to technology with education and community engagement. We collaborate with corporate partners, volunteers, educational institutions, and local organisations to ensure that technology is used effectively and sustainably.

The programme focuses on four key areas:

  • Technology Access: Providing quality ICT equipment to organisations and communities that need it most.

  • Digital Skills: Delivering practical training that builds confidence and employability.

  • Innovation: Introducing emerging technologies that prepare young people for the future.

  • Partnerships: Connecting businesses, institutions, and communities to create lasting impact.

Current Projects

Tech for Change

Tech for Change mobilises donated IT equipment from companies and individual supporters in Germany and deploys it to schools, community organisations, and non-profit partners in Cameroon. By extending the life of quality technology, the project reduces electronic waste while expanding digital access where it is needed most.

AI Education for Young People in Berlin

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming education, employment, and everyday life. This project introduces young people in Berlin to the fundamentals of AI through practical workshops, interactive learning activities, and discussions on ethics, responsible use, and future career opportunities. The project aims to ensure that young people from diverse backgrounds are equipped to participate confidently in the digital economy.

Where We Work

The programme currently operates through activities in Germany and Cameroon.

In Germany, we engage with young people, volunteers, companies, and institutions to promote digital education and mobilise technology resources.

In Cameroon, we work through our local partner organisation to deploy ICT equipment, strengthen community organisations, and improve access to digital learning opportunities.

Partner With Us

The success of the Digital Inclusion Programme depends on collaboration. We welcome partnerships with companies, educational institutions, foundations, public authorities, and individuals who share our commitment to creating equitable digital opportunities.

Whether through equipment donations, financial support, technical expertise, volunteering, or strategic collaboration, partners play a vital role in helping us build digitally inclusive communities.

Together, we are creating opportunities through technology and ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital age.
