Giving Technology a Second Life. Creating Opportunities for Communities.

Access to technology is no longer a luxury—it is essential for education, employment, communication, and community development. Yet many schools, community organisations, and non-profit institutions in Cameroon continue to operate without adequate computers and digital equipment, limiting their ability to deliver quality education and services.

At the same time, companies across Germany regularly replace functional IT equipment as part of technology upgrades or office relocations. Much of this equipment still has significant value and can continue to serve communities where access to digital resources remains limited.

La technologie au service du changement bridges this gap by giving quality technology a second life. Through partnerships with businesses, institutions, and individual donors in Germany, we collect donated IT equipment and deploy it to schools, community organisations, and development projects in Cameroon.

Our Goal

To improve digital access and strengthen community development by mobilising, refurbishing where necessary, and distributing donated IT equipment to underserved communities in Cameroon.

Why Tech for Change?

Many organisations and educational institutions in Cameroon face significant challenges due to limited access to computers and digital equipment. This affects:

By reusing quality IT equipment that would otherwise be replaced or discarded, we create opportunities while promoting environmental sustainability.

What We Do

Collect IT Equipment

We work with companies, institutions, and individual donors across Germany to collect quality used IT equipment, including:

• Desktop computers

• Laptops

• Moniteurs

• Docking stations

• Keyboards and mice

• Computer accessories

• Networking equipment

• Other ICT devices suitable for educational and community use

Prepare Equipment

Before shipment, equipment is:

• inventoried and documented;

• checked for completeness;

• confirmed to have been securely wiped of previous data by the donor; and

• prepared for transport.

Transport and Distribution

Working with trusted logistics partners and our local implementing partner in Cameroon, donated equipment is transported and distributed to organisations where it can create the greatest impact.

Support Beneficiaries

Beyond providing equipment, we work with partner organisations to ensure that technology is used effectively to improve learning, administration, and community services.
